The Start of Something Wonderful
At the very start of my photography journey, it was a constant thought in my mind that I needed to emulate what I saw most commonly circulating within the photography community. In a sense, I felt it was my place to change my colors, much like that of a chameleon, to match what was "trending" or the "vibe" saturating the market in order to blend in.
And yet, in these four years of learning the craft, I've felt the undeniable pull.
The pull to abandon the "norm" and embrace my own special and unique journey with photography. To lean into my own style, even though I'm still learning exactly what that means.
Change is scary and big jumps can be even scarier, but if I can't fully embrace the me I was created to be in my business then why I am I doing this? Why fit myself into a box I'm not meant to inhabit?
The creation of this new, beautiful logo feels like the first big step in embracing my personal journey as a photographer. Where I plan to truly lean into the gift I've been given to capture each clients visual story through the art of photography. Meanwhile, incorporating the things that ignite my passion and fuel my dreams and that pulled me to this field to begin with.
In the end, I want what I do to transcend just taking and sharing photos.
To be fully involved in the capturing of beautiful moment to produce a beautiful chapter that will be included in the binding of a person's life.
It's no small gift I've been given, nor is it one taken lightly.
