2025 The Year of Self-Portraits
One thing that is achingly clear every time I am placed in front of a camera is just how awkward and unnatural I feel. Y'all see the issue, right? Yeah, me too. A photographer that freezes up in front of a camera...well, it probably reads like an oxymoron because in my head, I think it is. And so this year I've tasked myself with breaking out of my comfort zone and forcing myself in front of the camera. Knowing that honing my skill in self-portraits will only create in me and stronger photographer.
And if there is one thing I'm constantly reaching for, it's to be better than the me I was yesterday. And I must say that for my first try (which I was truthfully dreading) I was quite pleased with what was created.
